Top 5 things to do on St. John
- The Virgin Islands National Park is arguably the best thing about St. John: This park covers approximately 60% of the Island and is famous for its wonderfully pristine environment, exceptional beaches and multiple hiking trails through the tropical forest.
- Relax under the sun at Trunk Bay beach which has consistently been voted one of the 10 Best Beaches in the World. Amenities include showers, restrooms, Lifeguards and a fantastic underwater snorkelling trail. Trunk Bay is the only beach on Saint John which requires a fee to visit.
- Close to Trunk bay you will find Cinnamon Bay – a long, wide stretch of white sand. Popular for snorkelling, water sports and sunbathing. Named by The New York Times as one of the “6 Caribbean Beaches to See Before You Die”, It is also home to a campground, restaurant and water sports rental.
- Explore Cruz Bay for some souvenir shopping. Home to multiple restaurants and shops, Cruz Bay is the island’s largest commercial centre and where you will arrive and depart by ferry. The Virgin Island National Park Visitor Center and the Elaine Sprauve Library are also located here. There are plenty of shops and beach bars, and also a casino. The beach has a designated swimming area with soft white sand and a space for day cruises to anchor. Cruz Bay Town Historic District is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
- Visit Saltpond Bay - named one of the best beaches in the Virgin islands by USA today - by hiking the trail a few miles south of Coral Bay. With reefs on both sides of the bay, seagrass in the centre, and deep coral reef far out in the middle, this is the perfect place to go snorkelling.

PLEASE NOTE: All activity and package bookings are subject to availability. Occasionally, the selected date/time may no longer be available in which case every effort will be made to accommodate you with a date change or alternative option. Otherwise a full refund is provided.
As an option, you may request a different island to travel to for the return portion of the trip. To do this, please contact us with your wishes as far in advance as possible, but at least a week prior to your trip. We will then advise the best options and arrange accordingly. This is subject to availability and may not be possible on the same day as your arrival in St. John, therefore may require you to arrange accommodation for yourself. If you wish to travel to St Thomas after visiting St John, this can most easily be arranged. Other islands may require a more custom solution.
Luggage allowance and charges
You are allowed to take one carry-on bag up to 30lbs free of charge, other luggage of up to 50lbs is allowed for an additional $5 USD and 50lbs and above may be subject to additional charges. All luggage must be checked in at the counter prior to departure.
